Fresh out of a communications degree from the University of Johannesburg, Lisa joined a medium sized PR agency where she handled supremely important tasks, like making tea and packing boxes. Two and a half years later she decided to spread her wings and migrated to the UK for a year where she worked at a leading consumer agency primarily on parenting and child related clients. On her return to South Africa in 2006 she joined Johannesburg-based agency FleishmanHillard where she worked her way through the ranks, eventually fulfilling the role of Associate Director and consumer portfolio lead. There she managed a team of PR professionals that produced innovative and stimulating work for clients such as Nike, Nokia, Etihad Airways and Hilton Hotels.
Since the inception of REPUBLIC PR, which started life as Robertson Edwards Public Relations, Lisa has reveled in the opportunity to offer the best possible solutions to the communications' challenges faced by brands and organisations in South Africa.
Lisa lives in Cape Town and has two small children (for her sins).
Tandi finished her communication studies at the WITS Technikon and started her career with industry stalwart Riana Greenblo working on brands like Nando’s, Ster-Kinekor, Jet and Luxottica. She left there to spread her wings, travelling to London and exploring Europe. On her return to South Africa in 2001 she joined (then) local Weber Shandwick affiliate, Gillian Gamsy International Communications (GGi) and proceeded swiftly through the ranks to lead the consumer team working on brands including Samsung, BT (British Telecoms), Emirates, Dulux, MasterCard and Reckitt Benckiser. In 2008 Tandi and her family relocated to the UK, only to return to South Africa, and a position of Executive Director at GGi. Tandi was involved in just about every aspect of the business including client service, internal strategy and management and was the ‘go-to’ for creative and innovative thinking across all the accounts.
Tandi is a proud ‘Johannesburger’ and has two beautiful daughters.
